Video Series Overview:

Vocation Formation

Objective

To develop the vocational formation of current and emerging YL leaders, leading to vocation statements.

Series

Vocation is formed through four values/practices: Community, Identity, Abiding, and Adaptability.

Community: Our calling is formed in community. I.e., shared practices and shared missional purpose that forms disciples and leaders (Acts 2:24-27)

Identity: Our calling is the fruit of our identity (Mark 1:9-11)

Abiding: Our calling is deepened in our life with Jesus (John 15)

Adaptability: Our identity and life with Jesus informs and allows us to hold on to what is essential while making wise changes and thriving in ever-changing environments (Hebrews 12:1-2)

Another Way to Say It:

Vocation is formed in “community”…

as an expression of "identity"…

that requires us to be continually "abiding" in Christ…

this allows us to discern what is essential and make wise adaptations to thrive in any environment.
